Class: Seasonal Produce Celebration
It’s a summer produce party and you’re invited! This class is perfect for the student who is looking to strengthen their skills in recipe and flavor development as we teach you our tips, tricks, and techniques to make fresh, seasonal produce shine.
Lessons include:
- Using fresh, seasonal, Michigan produce to make a batch of scones from start to finish. (The scones you make will be frozen to take home and bake at your leisure.)
- Using fresh, seasonal, Michigan produce to assemble a galette -- pie's more rustic and low-labor cousin.
- Lessons on kitchen improv, giving you the tips and tricks needed to make fresh, seasonal produce shine
- Baking demonstration, instructions, and best practices for scones and galettes.
- A Q&A session to answer all of your baking questions.
You will leave with:
- The recipes for the scones and galettes made in the class
- A to-go treat bag
- A freshly baked scone that Lisa made.
- The galette you made in the class.
- The batch of scones you made in the class, frozen to bake at home at your leisure.
We recommend keeping a cooler or cold bag in your car to keep the frozen scones chilled during your trip home
