Class: The Banana Pete Class
Calling all lovers of The Banana Pete! Join us in learning how to make this fan-favorite pie from start to finish.
What is The Banana Pete? We’re glad you asked! During our Indiegogo campaign, we had an extra special "design-a-pie" perk won by Lindsey Gudritz. Her creation is inspired by banana pudding and features a roasted banana chess filling (made with bananas we roast in-house!), cinnamon-rye shortbread cookies in place of the class “nilla wafers”, and topped with a fluffy pile of meringue.
You’ll leave with a to-go treat bag, a freshly baked The Banana Pete pie and a frozen crimp (that you rolled out!) to practice your pie skills at home. A PDF copy of the recipes will be emailed to you the next day.
**Pie crust will be frozen during the class so we recommend bringing a cooler or cold bag in your car to keep it chilled during your trip home**
All classes are held in-person at Sister Pie (8066 Kercheval, Detroit 48214). Free street parking is available on both sides of Kercheval.
